ABOUT AKRON

AKRON is comprised of three members, all of whom are former swimmers of the Italian National Swimming Team. The most distinguished among them is unquestionably Domenico Fioravanti. He clinched two gold medals at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, becoming the first Italian to secure a gold medal in swimming and a historic pioneer as the first swimmer to achieve gold in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke at a single competition.

AKRON's guiding principle revolves around athletes supporting fellow athletes. In fact, when the company was established in 2005, their inaugural product was the racing swimsuit. Even to this day, their Racing Research and Development department remains the core focus of the brand.

They may be a medium-sized enterprise, but their aspirations match the determination of an athlete. To realize these aspirations, they've sought to distinguish themselves from multinational competitors by emphasizing their strengths: unwavering commitment to quality, exceptional service, tailor-made solutions, and fostering personal relationships.

A substantial 70% of AKRON's products are meticulously crafted in Italy. Their solid, bicolor, and tricolor models stand as our flagships, each painstakingly handcrafted one by one, infused with the same passion and dedication found in an athlete's training regime.

Even though they've transitioned from their roles as athletes, AKRON's founders remain attuned to the needs of current athletes. Their invaluable input continues to be the driving force behind AKRON's product innovation.
